Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the first Point Cloud Days (PCD) for professionals in the Geoinformation science domain. We are excited to host a series of interactive presentations on 20 October 2022.

The conference will provide extensive didactic and collaborative opportunities for geomatics specialists as well as other scientists and professionals who study in the geospatial domain.

The conference offers online technical sessions and workshops. The technical program will consist of dozens of presentations within the fields of point cloud studies.

The objective of Point Cloud Days (PCD) is to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry, and government, to investigate, discuss, examine and advance the principles, the state of the art, and the solutions addressing critical challenges in point cloud science.

  • Authors are invited to submit full papers of no more than four (4) pages including results, figures and references.
  • Click here to download template.
  • If you have any problem, contact with igd@mersin.edu.tr
  • The paper should be uploaded in doc/ docx format. PDFs will not be accepted. 
  • There is no need to submit an abstract before. You can submit full papers directly. 
  • You need to add all authors’ ORCID IDs in papers. You can create a free registration for the individual ORCID at http://orcid.org
  • Papers will be accepted only by electronic submission. The link.
  • All submitted, accepted and presented papers will be published as a conference proceeding e-book. 
  • Each paper presented to the symposium must be written in English and presentations should be done in English.
  • All papers are going to be evaluated by at least two expert referees. Extended versions of selected conference papers will be transferred to the publication process in our department’s journals.

  • For registration please follow the link. 
  • Each accepted paper should be covered by the registration of one of the paper co-authors.
  • There is not a corresponding registration fee. The participation is completely free of charge. 
  • Accepted papers which are not associated with a registration of one of the co-authors will neither be included in the conference program nor in the proceedings.
